Chef Kevin Gillespie’s restaurant, Gunshow, offers a bold, new take on the traditional dining experience. Inspired by Brazilian churrascaria-style dining and Chinese dim sum, Kevin combined the two for a decidedly fun and delicious result. Dishes are presented on rolling carts and trays to diners at their tables where they can then choose what to order. Pricing is a la carte.

Along with an innovative dining experience, the restaurant’s design is also unique. With few walls and a highly visible kitchen, kevin and the talented team at ai3, Inc. have created a sense of transparency throughout Gunshow.

+ WHAT’S THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME GUNSHOW?

The restaurant’s name is a tribute to owner Kevin Gillespie’s family. Growing up, his father worked seven days a week to provide a better life for his family. On the rare Sunday afternoon he had off, father and son would go to a gun show.

+ DOES GUNSHOW HAVE MENUS?

Yes, each guest receives a menu at their table that includes a list of dishes and pricing. Each time you order an item, a chef or server will mark your menu so you can keep track of what you’ve tried so far.

+ WHERE CAN I FIND THE MENU ONLINE?

The menu is updated weekly, but may not be fully accurate as some menu items are subject to change on a nightly basis.

+ WILL I HAVE A SERVER?

Yes, every table has an assigned server that can answer any menu questions, fetch and refill drinks, charm snakes, etc.

+ HOW DO I ORDER?

Simply put: just let the food come to you. The person who prepared the dish will walk over to your table and describe his/her dish. Feel free to ask questions! Just nod or say yes if you’re in, and how many orders you want. Not interested? That’s ok, just pass and wait for the next dish to come along.

+ I WAITED ALL NIGHT AND NEVER GOT TO TRY (INSERT ITEM YOU LUSTED AFTER ). WHY IS LIFE SO CRUEL?

We’re sorry to hear that a dish didn’t make its way to you. We do our best to get around to every guest, but sometimes we run out of popular dishes. If you see something you have to have, you can also let your server know so he/she can try to assist.

+ WHY IS IT SO BRIGHT/LOUD INSIDE?

Gunshow was designed to have zero separation between guests and the kitchen. We felt like this would increase the quality of experience and give people a real taste of what is going on. Actually, the entire restaurant is a kitchen so whatever goes on in a kitchen (bright lights, no sound deafening panels) goes on in the entire restaurant.

+ HOW DO I MAKE A RESERVATION?

Reservations are available through SeatMe for parties of 6 or less. We only take reservations for 1 month in advance of the date the reservation is made. We welcome walk-ins on a first come-first serve basis though we can not guarantee availability.

+ WHY IS A RESERVATION DIFFERENT FOR A PARTY OF 7 to 12 GUESTS?

Due to the size of the restaurant and the limited number of tables in house we do not offer reservations for parties of 7 to 12 guests online. Reservations for groups of this size can be made over the phone or via email. We offer two seating times each night, Tuesday through Saturday, at 6pm and 8:30pm. In order to ensure an enjoyable experience for our guests we customize a family style 8 course meal for the table at $70 per person, beverages and gratuity not included. Feel free to contact us for more information.

+ WHERE DO I PARK?

The “Hired Guns” series of dining events is a creative collaboration with inventive chefs from around the nation. For one day, these “Hired Guns” will showcase their signature flavors and personalities in Gunshow’s open kitchen, creating dishes to serve alongside the restaurant’s weekly featured items and sharing their own stories with guests.

Season tickets for Hired Guns 2017 are sold out. Any remaining tickets for each event will be sold through Scoutmob’s Handpicked events and will go on sale approx one month prior

Revival Decatur is looking for an experienced sous chef to help us grow. We are looking for professional, driven and passionate people that want to create memorable experiences for our guests and employees.

The ideal candidate will have a natural sense of leadership, a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and desire to learn and teach. Come prepared to work in a restaurant culture rooted in tradition, integrity and education. Strong technique and extensive knowledge of ingredients provides this position the opportunity to be creative - and help design the menu. You should have a passion for Southern food and a desire to help others learn as well. Prior restaurant experience is required.

This is management level position that will work closely with the chef to develop the menu, the culture, and the atmosphere of the kitchen. The right fit for this job will be someone who works well with the chef and believes in the idea that all positions in the restaurant are important and that we are all constantly learning, teaching, and evolving.

GUNSHOW is looking for a full-time dishwasher to start immediately.

Position requires full time commitment of Tuesday-Saturday from 3pm till close.

This is a demanding role in a challenging work environment. Applicant must be willing to work hard, pay attention to detail, and move quickly--side-by-side with a small, close knit team. First time applicants interested in learning the restaurant business from the ground up highly encouraged.

Potential for on the job training and the chance to gain valuable prep and kitchen skills under some of the city's best chefs. This is a great opportunity to learn new skills, and be a part of a growing company. Open availability is required.
